    Gary Anderson will begin his tilt for a third William Hill World Darts Championship title against Northern Irishman Brendan Dolan or Indian Qualifier Nitin Kumar.

    The draw which includes 20 Team Unicorn stars was made on Monday for the 2019/2020 William Hill World Darts Championship, which will see 96 of the world's best players competing from December 13 - January 1 for the Sid Waddell Trophy and £2.5 million in prize money.

    The first round will feature 32 qualifiers from the ProTour Order of Merit, based on prize money won across 43 non-televised events in 2019, and 32 international qualifiers.

    2019 Runner-Up Michael Smith will be looking to go one step further this year, will play either Luke Woodhouse or Paul Lim

    Team Unicorn rising star Chris Dobey is through to his first major televised Semi-Final at the World Grand Prix in Dublin. Dobey continued his sensational impact in this his first appearance in the event with five ton-plus checkouts in a win over stablemate Ian White.

    A rampant start from Dobey saw him whitewash White in the first set, sealing it with a 132 checkout, before a strong response from White saw him take the second set 3-1.

    It was White's turn for a whitewash in the third to go 2-1 ahead in sets, but Dobey fired back with finishes of 120 and 100 to take the fourth 3-1.

    Team Unicorn star Chris Dobey, has reached his third televised quarter-final with a superb 3-1 victory over two-time World Champion and stablemate Gary Anderson.

    The Scot, a former Dublin finalist, defied a showpiece 134 checkout from Dobey to claim the opening set 3-2, only to see the Newcastle youngster come from 2-1 down to level in the second.

    Dobey then finished 90, 60 and 110 to win the third without reply, before securing his last eight place by claiming set four with a 3-1 scoreline.

    "I think my overall performance was pretty good and I'm delighted to have won," said Dobey. "I knew I had the game to beat Gary and I had to keep my cool, and it's up there with my best performances on stage.

    Talented Team Unicorn star Callan Rydz has topped the 2019 PDC Unicorn Challenge Tour Order of Merit, which has earned him a coveted two-year Tour Card aswell as a prized spot in the William Hill World Darts Championship later this year.

    Event 18 in Wigan, saw Newcastle-based Rydz, 21, collect his second Challenge Tour title of the year, as he moved to the top of the rankings on Saturday evening, but had to wait nervously towards the conclusion of the weekends action before his double success was confirmed, after reaching the Event 19 semi-finals earlier on Sunday.

    In the aforementioned Event 18, Rydz overcame four-time Lakeside Women's Champion Lisa Ashton as well as former UK Open finalist Wes Newton, John Bowles, Andrew Gilding and Aden Kirk before enjoying a 5-1 win over Cody Harris in the final.

    Team Unicorn set for Dublin

    The field has been confirmed for the 2019 BoyleSports World Grand Prix, with two Team Unicorn youngsters set to make their Dublin debuts in October.

    The double-start tournament will return to the Citywest Convention Centre from October 6-12.

    Following Sunday's Players Championship 26, the line-up has now been confirmed with the top eight players on the PDC Order of Merit seeded for the event.

    Double World Youth Champion Dimitri Van den Bergh will make his World Grand Prix debut, alongside Chris Dobey, in a line-up that that will feature NINE Team Unicorn stars.

    Team Unicorn star James Wade won his fifth PDC title of the year at Players Championship 24 in Barnsley on Wednesday.

    Wade, whose four previous wins in 2019 also came at Players Championship events, continued his consistent floor form to pocket yet another £10,000 top prize.

    The final between Wade and Chisnall saw a meeting of two players who were yet to lose a ranking final this year, but it was Wade who prevailed to maintain his unbeaten record.

    "It was a nerve-wracking final," Wade admitted.

    "I thought I was going to have it over and done with a lot quicker than I did but it's onwards and upwards from here."

    Classy Cullen claims maiden European Tour title

    Team Unicorn star Joe Cullen claimed his maiden European Tour title with a sensational performance to defeat Michael van Gerwen 8-5 in the European Darts Matchplay final in Mannheim on Sunday night.

    The Bradford ace claimed the third ranking title of his career in brilliant fashion as he overcame World Champion Van Gerwen with a clinical and confident showing.

    Having never previously won past the semi-finals on the European Tour, Cullen saw off William O'Connor, Glen Durrant and stablemate James Wade on Sunday to book his spot in the decider at the Maimarkthalle.

    He showed no nerves against the World Champion, opening the final with a 180 and claiming four of the opening five legs to move 4-1 up, including a 14-darter to break throw.
