James Vince

Already showing a talent for timing and elegance, the Hampshire and England batter made his Championship debut in 2009 aged just 18.

He was a member of Hampshire's 2010 T20 winning team and scored his maiden first-class century against Yorkshire, 180 runs, in the same year.

His career-best First Class score came in the summer of 2014 when a sublime innings of 240, at better than a-run-a-ball, made him the quickest player to reach 1,000 runs in Division Two. His contribution was pivotal in Hants’ title-winning season.

In 2015, international recognition beckoned. James made an ODl England debut against Ireland in May, and a Twenty20 debut against Pakistan in November - he scored 41, 38 and 46 and was named Man of the Series. In May 2016, he was added to the Test squad for Sri Lanka's visit and won his first cap in the first Test at Headingley. In July 2021 James struck his first ODI century with 102 runs v Pakistan at Edgbaston.

That year, James went on to lead Southern Brave to The Hundred title and was Brave’s highest run scorer, making 229 runs in 10 matches.
