Evelyn Jones has been a dependable and dynamic opening batter from day one.
In 2008, as a 16-year-old, the left-hander top scored with 50 for Shropshire v Northants and would become her county’s leading run-scorer in the 2010 and 2011 County Championship seasons.
In 2020, Eve captained Central Sparks in The Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy and was the competition’s fourth top run scorer (third in 2021). She was also the leading run-scorer in the Charlotte Edwards Cup, her 276 runs included three half-centuries. Last year, Evelyn was The Hundred’s fourth-highest run-scorer with Birmingham Phoenix.
As a result of those performances, Evelyn was named the 2021 PCA Women's Domestic MVP and PCA Player of the Year.
