Cameron Steel

A leg spinner and batter capable of featuring anywhere in the top order, California-born Cameron Steel became the youngest double-centurion in Durham's history in August 2017.

Aged just 21, he struck an epic 224 v Leicestershire at Grace Road. Batting for more than eight hours and faced 408 balls. Over the course of the Division Two season, he went on to score 889 runs at 40.86 in his debut campaign.

Cameron’s excellent form continued as he scored 638 in the following season, a total that included 160 off a high-class Sussex attack.

Joining Surrey initially on loan from Durham midway through 2021, Cameron will be looking to press on and break into the Brown Caps’ line-up this season.
