James Coles

James Coles has already broken one of the longest held records in cricket, or indeed any sport. At the age of 16 years and 157 days old, he became the youngest player to appear in a first-class match for Sussex in over 150 years.

Facing Surrey in The Bob Willis Trophy at The Oval, he was far from overawed, earning 3 for 35 with his left arm spin as well chipping in in the middle order.

The 17-year old was recently part of England's squad that reached the 2022 ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup Final in the West Indies. He’ll be looking to further establish his Sussex credentials in the forthcoming season.
