Adam Lyth

Part of the 2015 Ashes winning series on home soil, Adam Lyth has consistently churned out First-Class runs since his debut in 2007, earning him a short international stint across that summer.

His journey to prominence began through the Yorkshire youth system, and he quickly made a name for himself with his solid technique and ability to play long innings.

In 2014 everything clicked for the left-hander, scoring 1,489 Championship runs to top the run-scoring charts for that summer, a haul which included six centuries.

That form handed Lyth the chance of the coveted Three Lions’ opening slot alongside Alastair Cook and he wasted little time in making an impression, his match-winning first Test century coming in his second match against New Zealand.

Domestically, Lyth enjoyed considerable success with Yorkshire, where he became a key player for the team in both red-ball and white-ball formats.

Over the years, he has been a central figure in Yorkshire's batting lineup, and his leadership in various formats, including as a captain in shorter formats, further cemented his status as one of the county's stalwarts.

Lyth also played a crucial role in helping Yorkshire win several major domestic titles, including the County Championship.
