Equally comfortable with bat or ball, Lancs secured this exciting young all-rounder to his first pro contract in 2018. 

Playing as a top-order batter for his county, George showed versatility and leadership when bowling for Young England Lions, as Captain, in the summer of 2019. He would go on to skipper the side in the Rising Stars Tri-Series later that year and lead the team with 15 wickets. 

George made his first-class debut for Lancashire in the 2020 Bob Willis Trophy, a series that saw him make a maiden first-class fifty (v Derbyshire) before opening the bowling later in the season. He underlined his growing potential with a resolute 65 v Warkwickshire. in last season’s Bob Willis Trophy Final.
