Zak Chappell burst on to the cricketing scene in 2015. Aged just 19, he scored 96 from 122 balls on first class debut. The total (v Derbyshire) remains the highest ever innings by a Leicestershire number 10. It is bowling, however, that Zak would make a great mark.
Tall, quick and a threat with the ball across all formats in the 2018 season he took 33 wickets in 14 red ball fixtures, including best a career best 6-44 against Northamptonshire, as well as 22 white ball dismissals. Zak went on to make an impressive showing on the 2019 England Lions tour of India claiming 4-60 in a Test against India A.
