Luke Wood

Pacy left-armer Luke broke through at Nottinghamshire in 2015: aged just 19, he made 11 Championship appearances and took 30 wickets. In June of that year, he showed equally impressive skills with a bat, scoring a maiden FC ton from 105 balls – the knock included 10 fours and six sixes.

Luke subsequently won a T20 Blast medal for Nottinghamshire in 2017 (during their treble-winning year) and the same gong while on loan with Worcestershire in 2018.

Lancashire won the race to sign the paceman from Notts towards the end of the 2019 season – he bowled well throughout the following year, helping his new club to reach the T20 semis. In 2021 Luke really began making his mark with the red ball, while also notching another eye-catching Championship ton – this time from No. 8 v Kent.
