Andrew Salter

Andrew Salter announced his bowling talents in August 2013 and it took him just one delivery. Bowling off-spin, he took a wicket with his first County Championship ball and became the first Glamorgan player to do so for over half a century. He was the club’s Young Player of the Year that season and again in 2014.

Over the next few seasons, Andrew confirmed his all-rounder credentials and in 2017 made the most Championship 50s for Glamorgan.

It was then with the white ball that Andrew’s bowling returned to the fore – he topped Glamorgan's totals in the 2019 T20 Blast, taking 14 wickets at an average of just under 20.

He began 2022 with a bang, taking a career-best 7-45 in Glamorgan’s County Championship Division Two draw with Durham. Decimating Durham’s middle order, the haul included including four wickets in just eight balls.
