In just three short years, top-order batter Rob Yates has made a number of exciting centuries for his beloved Warwickshire.
In 2019, he scored a maiden Championship ton aged just 19 - a superb 141 in over six hours v title-chasing Somerset.
In the 2021 season, Rob’s batting made a sizeable contribution to Warwickshire’s historic County Championship/Bob Willis Trophy double.
He began the summer with a fearless 120* in a fourth innings run chase against reigning champions Essex and ended it with 132* as The Bears landed the Championship v Somerset.
A week later, his 113 at Lord's secured victory in the Bob Willis Trophy.
Rob’s cultured, unflappable technique continues to prompt calls for Test recognition – watch this space.
