  1. Anderson sets up De Zwaan Dublin showdown!

So it will be an all-Unicorn 2nd Round clash between Gary Anderson and Jeffrey de Zwaan at the World Grand Prix on Tuesday.

Anderson swept aside Welshman Jonny Clayton despite his troublesome back and De Zwaan got the better of Kim Huybrechts in their all Unicorn affair on the opening night.

But sadly Joe Cullen is on his way home after losing to Dutchman Ron Meulenkamp.

De Zwaan was sensational again. Put him on a big stage in a TV ‘Major’ and he comes alive.

He blew ‘The Hurricane’ away in just 15 minutes beating Huybrechts by two sets to nil. The Belgian won only two legs.

De Zwaan hit four 180s in the opening set and averaged nearly 100 with a double start! Remember he has already beaten Michael van Gerwen twice in TV ‘Majors’ this year at the UK Open and then on his run to the semi-finals of the World Matchplay where he lost a thriller to Anderson!

  2. White edged out in Dublin

Team Unicorn ace Ian White enjoyed yet another superb day on the PDC Pro Tour but just came up short at the second Players Championship event in Dublin on Saturday.

But White will go into the World Grand Prix in high spirits despite going down 6-4 in the final to Dutchman Danny Noppert who claimed his first PDC title at the City West Hotel.

He will disappointed because he played so well all day. However his run to the final sees White back up to top spot in the Players Championship Order of Merit and he also moves back into the world’s top 10, so all-in-all not a bad day!

The Unicorn star was always playing catch up in the final. Noppert taking out 72, 88 and 79 to establish a 3-1 advantage. White missed two darts to make it two apiece and when Noppert nailed a 13 darter to go 4-1 up, ‘Diamond’ had lost his sparkle.

White did fight back and a 120 check-out gave him hope but Noppert hit straight back to finish it off at 6-4.

  3. Razma reaches Dublin final

It was a landmark day in the career of Team Unicorn Latvian star Madars Razma.

He turned 30 this week and celebrated by winning through to the Players Championship Final in Dublin on Friday. Razma enjoyed a magical day before he was edged out by German ace Max Hopp 6-3 at the City West Hotel.

It was his first PDC final but the £6,000 prize money he earned has taken Razma to the cusp of World Championship qualification through the Pro Tour Order of Merit.

He must like the Irish air! 12 months ago Madars reached a PC semi-final in Dublin and on Friday he saw off Michael van Gerwen en route!

The day started with a 6-2 win over Peter Hudson. He then beat Danny Noppert 6-4 and Gerwyn Price 6-3 before winning a last leg decider in an all Unicorn clash with Ronny Huybrechts in the last 16.

His brilliant victory over Van Gerwen came in the quarter finals with Razma winning 6-5 after leading 4-1.

He completed a 6-2 semi-final win over Andrew

Dancing Dimitri claims Development Tour glory!

Dimitri van den Bergh has celebrated signing his new deal with Unicorn by winning another Development Tour title.

On the latest weekend of the PDC Unicorn Development Tour there were four different winners yet again.

Dimitri won event 15 on Sunday in Peterborough. The young Belgian ace beat Lee Budgen 5-3. He also reached the semi-finals of event 16 but lost to Christian Bunse. The young German was in turn beaten by 5-1 by Jarred Cole in the final.

Unicorn Executive Matt Rankin was full of praise for Dimitri, saying: “Everyone is delighted to have Dimitri on board and to have a tournament win so soon after re-signing his contract is the perfect start to our extended relationship.”

On Saturday, Luke Humphries and George Killington took the honours as they beat Justin van Tergouw and Bunse respectively in the finals of events 13 and 14.

  6. Champions League glory for Gary!

The incredible Gary Anderson has won another big TV title and he’s done it in some style!

The Team Unicorn superstar claimed the Champions League crown in Brighton with a blistering display.

He swept aside Peter Wright 11-4 in the final to claim the £100,000 prize and he was unstoppable on a sensational Sunday.

Amazingly, Anderson hit THREE 10 darters in the final as he added the Champions League Trophy to a long list of big TV triumphs in 2018....UK Open, US Masters and World Matchplay.

But he was a millimetre away from not even qualifying for the semi-finals! Gary had to beat Michael van Gerwen in his last group match to edge out Daryl Gurney for a place in the last four.

He led the Dutchman 6-3 and 9-6 in the race to 10. But Van Gerwen battled back to 9-9 and in the last leg the World No.1 missed two darts for the match, only for Anderson to bang in a sensational 140 finish to take it!

“I guess I rode my luck against Michael,”

    New deal for Dimitri

He is one of the biggest young talents in World darts and now Dimitri van den Bergh has committed his long-term future to Unicorn.

The Belgian starlet has made a big splash over the last 12 months and is destined for the very top and Unicorn will back him all the way.

“A big thank you to Unicorn for all the help and support and the fact they believe in me and my future. It means so much to me,” Dimitri said.

Winning the PDC Unicorn World Youth Championship last November was a huge turning point in Dimitri’s career and came just a fortnight after he reached the quarter-finals of the World Series in Scotland.

Of course Van den Bergh followed up with that stunning run to the World Championship quarter-finals and he was in the mix for a Premier League spot.

  10. White claims biggest win of his career!

Ian White has won the Dutch Darts Masters

‘Diamond’ sparkled in Maastricht to pocket the £25,000 prize but more importantly for the Unicorn ace, the biggest tournament victory of his darting career.

He saw off surprise finalist Ricky Evans 8-5 to claim the crown in Holland and this win now takes White above Raymond van Barneveld into 11th spot in the world rankings.

But what an achievement - to finally win on the big stage and it completes a superb couple of weeks for White. He’s signed a new contract with Unicorn and his run to the semi-finals on the Pro Tour this week puts him as provisional No.1 seed for the Players Championship Finals.

He kicked off with a hard-fought 6-4 win over Arron Monk in Holland, before a 100 average saw off Mervyn King 6-2. In the quarter-Finals the Unicorn man brushed aside Adrian Lewis 6-1 and he then came back superbly from 0-3 down to beat Peter Wright 7-4 in the semi-finals.
