It was some weekend in Wigan for Team Unicorn.

Quite simply it was the best weekend of Ted Evetts darting career.

There was triple delight for the Unicorn youngster as he secured qualification for the World Championship and also won himself a prized PDC Tour card through the PDC Unicorn Development Tour, then to cap it all he won the last DT event of the year!

And Dimitri van den Bergh won on the PDC Unicorn Development Tour for the second time in a month and it was his 12th Development Tour title in all. The win coming just 48 hours after he competed at the World Series Finals.

Dimitri won DT 19 as he saw off young Dutchman Geert Nentjes 5-3, then Evetts won DT 20, beating Christian Bunse 5-4 in the final....his third DT success of 2018.

A two-year tour card is huge for Evetts as well as his place at the Alexandra Palace next month. And by finishing 3rd on the Development Tour Order of Merit, it has opened the big door to so many opportunities.

Luke Humphries and Van den Bergh occupied the top two spots in that Order of Merit, but both have already qualified for the Ally Pally and both have Tour Cards, so Evetts gets the nod.

The other winners over the weekend were Humphries who beat Bradley Brooks 5-1 in Development Tour 17 and Berry van Peer who was a 5-4 victor over Nentjes in event 18.
