Team Unicorn latest news!

Nico BlumIt's congratulations to Unicorn youngster Nico Blum. His rise and rise up the world of darts continues. The German teenager has recently been crowned German Youth Champion 2017 and he has also triumphed at the German Youth Masters.

It was an incredible performance because Blum won the Masters event without losing a single leg. He also secured 5th place at the Senior German Masters tournament….not bad for a 16-year-old! He is one of the shining lights of German darts for the future.

Team Unicorn double

World Champion Gary Anderson is enjoying his darts at the moment and he is enjoying playing with different sets! It seems the Scot is experimenting with his set-up looking for the perfect formula…all with the help of the Unicorn gurus! The darts he used to win in the Pro Tour at Wigan recently were different to the ‘arrers he won the Dubai Darts Masters with!

And it seems that Gary is becoming the man for the darting heat! Those recent victories were both secured in searing heat and with Shanghai and Las Vegas to come in the World Series, Anderson is the man to beat!

Unicorn Darts supplier Darts Corner in Bolton, came to the rescue for Michael Smith! The point broke on one of his trusted darts during a practice session at home in St Helens but all will be sorted for the big Euro Tour event in Leverkusen, Germany this weekend. Smith hoping to go one better at the European Darts Open after losing that epic final against Michael van Gerwen at the Austrian Darts Open. Smith is hitting top form again just at the right time.

It was good to see Kyle Anderson at Unicorn HQ in Nottingham this week. The Aussie, who continues to make huge strides in the world game, was dishing out darting tips to Nottinghamshire cricketers James Pattinson and Luke Fletcher.

And finally it is good wishes for the future from everyone at Team Unicorn to five-times World Champion Raymond van Barneveld, who moves on after more than eight years as a Unicorn player.
