World Series joy for Unicorn duo!

Take a bow Chris Dobey and Dimitri van den Bergh!

The Team Unicorn pair have both qualified for next month's prestigious World Series Finals in Glasgow.

For Dobey, it is a much needed confidence boost after what has been a disappointing 2017, and he had to do it the hard way after he was drawn to play in the preliminary round.

But he beat Ron Meulenkamp 5-3 and then came some superb darts with Dobey recapturing his top form to win three last leg deciders to qualify!

He saw off Vincent Kamphuis, Alan Norris and then Jeffrey de Zwaan to win through to the finals at Glasgow's Braehead Arena from November 3-5.

Van den Bergh was equally as impressive as he beat Andy Hamilton 5-3 to start his qualification bid. Then came an all Unicorn clash against his darting hero and compatriot Kim Huybrechts, but Dimitri found an extra gear to win 5-1. And he followed that with a 5-3 victory over Brendan Dolan to go through.

Elsewhere, Unicorn ace Ian White just missed out as he lost 5-3 to Justin Pipe in the final qualifying game.....and Joe Cullen was beaten 5-2 by Ricky Evans in the last 32.

The other qualifiers were Rob Cross, Pipe, the Welsh duo of Jonny Clayton and Mark Webster, Jan Dekker and Simon Stevenson.
