Steven Mullaney

Respected, versatile, consistent. Over the last decade, Steven Mullaney has earned a reputation as one of domestic crickets most reliable, and most coveted, all-rounders.

After cutting his teeth at Lancashire, Steven joined Nottinghamshire in 2010 and became one of the few Notts players to score a century on his first-class debut.

Originally charged with helping to solve his county’s opening pair problem, Steven has made contributions to the club in every part of the game, and in all formats; a dynamic fielder and effective strokeplayer, he also bowls consistent, testing medium-pace.

In 2016 he hit three hundreds, including a then career-best 165* against Somerset at Trent Bridge, and reached the much coveted 1,000 Championship run mark.

In the following season, Steven was a key driving force in Nottinghamshire’s impressive treble – a Division Two promotion, Royal London One-Day Cup trophy and T20 success. The year included a Championship career-best of 168 with the bat against Kent; 5-32 against Gloucestershire, 111 from only 75 balls in the One Day semi against Essex; and a crucial 3-22 in the T20 final four win over Hampshire.
