Josh Rymell is made from stern stuff. Joining Essex in 2015, he has already battled back from a damaging ACL injury before earning a rookie contract, in 2020.
Josh made his T20 debut on 18 July 2021 for Essex and earned a first List A start a month later. During the Royal London One-Day Cup, Josh opened for Essex and made an expertly-paced century, 121 from 130 balls, against Yorkshire in the quarter-finals.
He was subsequently named Essex’s First XI Young Player of the Year.
