Teddy Bishop
- Biography
A top order batter, Teddy Bishop completed the journey from West Indies’ age group setup to the full national side in 2024, when he made his One-Day International debut against Australia.
Whilst it ended with a six-ball duck, the maiden call-up was a further nod to how highly the West Indies rate the 22-year-old.
A regular at the top of run-scoring charts for the teams he represents, Bishop’s journey to full international honours started back with the Under-19 side in 2021.
During a tour of England, the right-hander was the leading run-scorer across the six-game series with 271 runs, earning selection for the Under-19 World Cup in early 2022.
A match-winning 112* versus Zimbabwe further put his name on the map as he finished the competition as the second leading run-scorer for the Windies.
Making his debut for Windward Islands off the back of the World Cup, Bishop has gone on to captain the West Indies Academy side across the First-Class and List A sides in recent times.
