Seren Smale

A wicketkeeper-batter with a range of shots, Seren Smale has enjoyed a whirlwind rise in recent times.
Following on from signing her maiden professional contract at the back end of 2023, Smale was part of England A’s squad for the winter tour of New Zealand.
Back on English soil, returns of 207 runs at 34.5 in the Charlotte Edwards Cup and 515 at 39.61 in the Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy, the fourth most across the competition, earned her a place on the shortlist of the PCA Women’s Young Player Of The Year.
Overall, she scored five fifties for Thunder in 2024 and made her full England debut in September during the tour of Ireland, hitting 35 runs in two matches.
She spent further time with the England squad in South Africa and for the Ashes Down Under.
