Ross Taylor

Ross Taylor has been the back-bone of New Zealand cricket since making his international debut in 2006, notching up a record-breaking number of centuries for his country in his distinguished career and becoming the first New Zealander to make 20 International centuries in any format.

Having scored his maiden ODI hundred in his first International Series and Sri Lanka, Taylor’s career to-date has more than lived up the hype, having moved passed Kiwi legend Stephen Fleming’s ODI run-tally to become the leading run-scorer in the format for his country in February 2019.

Taylor also possesses one of the most enviable Test Match records with over 6,000 runs and a remarkable high-score of 290. In 2008 against England he made his maiden century, 120, at Hamilton and then followed that with a memorable 154 at Old Trafford which cemented place in the middle-order, a spot he is yet to relinquish since.

His slightly unorthodox technique and powerful stroke-making have combined to make him one the most destructive and recognizable batters in all formats of the game and is already established as one of the finest batters his country have ever produced.
