Travis Head

Travis Head has been a mainstay of Australia’s ODI team since his debut in 2016, but has more recently burst onto the Test Match scene as one of the shining lights of Australia’s new-look middle order.

The left-handed batsman made his debut in the longest form in 2018 against Pakistan in Dubai, making an assured 72 from 175 balls to announce his arrival as his side snatched an unlikely draw from the jaws of defeat. In the same season his fantastic run of form eventually saw him rewarded with his first Test Match hundred against Sri Lanka in the last Test of the summer.

Head’s expansive stroke-making credentials saw him catch the eye of the Australian selectors in 2016, earning him a call-up to the ODI team to face the West Indies. Despite earning his spot in the side in the middle order, his versatility was on full display against the same opposition following year as he reached three figures for the first time in International cricket whilst opening the batting.

He has long been touted as a future International player thanks to his consistency across all formats domestically, but also due to his all-round abilities with his more than useful off-spin and his excellent fielding. He has been a part of the Bangalore franchise in the IPL over the years and as his career grows, he is likely be a household name in T20 leagues across the globe.

Travis is currently using the following bat dimensions:

Swell depth = 65mm
Edge depth = 38mm

Weight between 2.9lb -2.11lb
