Saim Ayub

A dashing left-hander at the top of the order, Saim Ayub’s rise to prominence saw him make his international debut across all three formats for Pakistan within 18 months.

The 22-year-old was a member of the recent 2-1 series victory over England on home shores, his 77 in the second Test at Multan helping set up a match-winning first innings score.

To date, the opener has scored 323 runs, including three fifties, in his short Test career, having made his debut in Sydney at the beginning of 2024.

The explosive left-hander first represented his country in March 2023, following a breakthrough Pakistan Super League season for Peshawar Zalmi, opening the batting in the three-match series against Afghanistan, scoring a 40-ball 49 in the third T20I.

His elevation to the national side came off the back of a breakthrough Pakistan Super League season for Peshawar Zalmi in which Ayub amassed 341 runs at a strike rate of 165.53 across 12 games.
