Liam Patterson-White

Born in Sunderland but progressing through the Nottinghamshire age groups, Liam Patterson-White’s journey to the professional ranks was completed in bizarre fashion down in Taunton.

Hours after being handed his First-Class debut in July 2019, Liam was rushed to hospital with tonsilitis and started his career with a duck in his first innings.

In a remarkable turnaround he returned to take 5-71 in the second innings at a ground that Liam would continuously excel at down the line.

Two years later he returned to make a maiden hundred in the format, off the back of career-best figures of 5-19 against Northamptonshire just the week prior.

A mainstay of Nottinghamshire side’s following the red-ball retirement of Samit Patel, Liam’s exploits earnt him an England Lions spot on the tour of Sri Lanka in 2023 where he took seven wickets in two matches.

This summer he made his T20 debut for the Notts Outlaws, taking seven wickets and scoring 121 runs across ten games, including an unbeaten 44 from just 21 balls on Vitality Blast debut.
