Dan Lawrence, a talented English cricketer, has built a reputation as a reliable middle-order batter with significant promise in both the red and white-ball formats.

Lawrence made his First-Class debut for Essex in 2015 at the age of 17, hitting 161 against Surrey, becoming the third-youngest player to make a Championship century in the process.

His performances in the County Championship were continually improving, and in 2017, he scored 761 runs at an average of 44.76, as Essex claimed their first title in 25 years.

Lawrence’s strong domestic performances earned him a call-up to the England Test squad in 2020. He made his Test debut in Galle in January 2021, scoring 73 in challenging conditions in only his second Test innings.

The 27-year-old has represented the Three Lions on 14 occasions in the Test arena, with a career-best 91 coming against the West Indies in Barbados.
