Bess Heath
- Biography
A prolific run-scorer on the domestic scene, Heath progressed through Derbyshire’s youth system before making the move North to join Yorkshire.
A professional debut under her belt aged 19, the explosive middle order batter lifted the Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy in 2022 with the Northern Diamonds.
On the back of an impressive showing in 2023, where she was nominated for the PCA Women’s Young Player of the Year award, Heath was awarded a first international cap in September.
Since then she’s gone on to represent the Three Lions on eight occasions in white-ball cricket, also enjoying stints with Melbourne Stars and Brisbane Heat in the WBBL.
A handy wicketkeeper, Heath has over 3,000 runs to date, has played in each edition of The Hundred for the Northern Superchargers and was one of Durham Cricket’s first signings as they enter Tier 1 next summer.
