Johnny Bushnell

A product of Durham’s Academy, Johnny Bushnell progressed through the ranks to make his first team debut in the summer of 2022.

After a prolific start to that year with the Second XI, the right-hander marked his debut with a fifty and a century stand alongside Rachin Ravindra.

Named Durham’s Second XI Player of the Season for 2022, with 580 runs at an average of 75 and a top score of 187, he added T20 and List A caps to his name before the summer was out.

Having signed a two-year professional deal, Bushnell was limited to predominantly 50-over appearances for the county in recent years.

Overall, the 23-year-old made 672 runs in 34 Durham appearances but left the club at the culmination of the 2024 summer and will be looking for a new opportunity heading into this year.
