Jason Sangha
- Biography
Prodigious batting talent being picked up at an early age is a story as old as time, however Jason Sangha is still part of a small cohort of players earning their first contract whilst still sitting exams.
A Sydney Thunder Community Rookie in BBL06, his leadership qualities were also evident from early on as he led Australia in the U19 World Cup in 2018.
Hitting a century versus an England XI in just his second First-Class match, aged just 18, Sangha wasted little time in adding a first ton for the New South Wales, coming in his third Marsh Sheffield Shield appearance.
His most prolific summer to date came in 2021/22 when he struck 504 runs in seven First-Class matches and 445 in 12 appearances for the Sydney Thunder in the Big Bash.
Making the move to South Australia ahead of the 2024/25 summer, Sangha hit 151 and 61 in his first two knocks for his new State side, before knocks of 33, 30 and 67 came in the Big Bash after injury limited his campaign to three games.
