- Profile
A dependable and dynamic opening batter for over 15 years now, Eve Jones shows no signs of slowing up if her 2024 exploits are anything to go by.
Across 15 games in the Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy, the left-hander made 556 runs at 42.76, including a match-winning 136* in May.
Making the move at the end of the season back to Lancashire, having represented the side during their double-winning season of 2017, the 32-year-old made an immediate impact with a half-century against local rivals Northern Diamonds.
The experienced opener first made her debut aged 16, top scoring with 50 for Shropshire v Northants before going on to be the county’s leading run-scorer in the 2010 and 2011 County Championship seasons.
An experienced head she has routinely led the sides she has represented and is consistently towards the top end of run-scoring charts across all three English domestic competitions.
In 2021, Jones was named as the overall PCA Player of the Year after her performances across the summer, as well as the first-ever PCA Women’s Overall Domestic MVP.
