Ben Slater
An opening batter by trade, Ben secured his maiden first-class century, for Derbyshire against Leicester, in September 2014.
Moving down the A52 to Nottinghamshire in 2018, the left-hander settled quickly, celebrating his home debut with a ton Championship against Yorkshire at Trent Bridge.
A prolific run-scorer across all seasons, Slater’s First-Class record currently stands at 8,343 runs at an average of 34.47, with 14 centuries and a career-best of 225* against Durham in 2022.
His record in List A cricket is particularly impressive, with the 33-year-old maintaining an average of in excess of 50 across his 68 matches to date, scoring over 3,000 runs in the process.
The left-hander has been crucial to Nottinghamshire’s efforts since joining, winning the County Championship Division Two title in 2022 and producing impressive returns last term to ensure the Club’s survival in the top tier.
