Ben Kellaway
- Biography
An ambidextrous spinner who is more than capable of chipping in with crucial runs with the bat and already has a professional title to his name at 21 years of age, Ben Kellaway certainly has more than one string to his bow.
Coming through Glamorgan’s academy, Kellaway first represented the County in a pre-season friendly in 2022 against Cardiff MCCU.
Fast forward six months and he had a senior contract under his belt, making his T20 bow in May of 2023 whilst still balancing University exams.
With the ability to bowl with both hands, changing at will in the middle of overs, Kellaway is a name many will have heard before, despite playing just 29 professional games to date.
Mostly used in the 50-over arena to date, he was part of Glamorgan’s side that secured the Metro Bank One-Day Cup in September 2024, taking the wickets of Lewis Goldsworthy and James Rew in the final.
That came off the back of a maiden five-wicket haul on the First-Class scene at the beginning of the month, figures of 5-142 aged just 20 years and 250 days securing him a place in Glamorgan’s history books as the seventh youngest bowler to five wickets for the county.
