Josh Bohannon, a graduate of the Lancashire academy, penned his first professional contract in 2018. He wasted no time settling in, making a half-century in August on his Championship debut against all-conquering Surrey.

Josh produced one of the most memorable moments of the 2019 County season when notching his maiden First-Class century v Derbyshire – getting to 174.

In 2020, as well as a brilliant 170 v Warwickshire, Josh led the run-scoring stakes at Lancashire (averaging 53 in a team that finished as County Championship and Bob Willis Trophy runners-up), performances that prompted England Lions to add him to the group that toured Australia. 

Since then the 27-year-old has continued to stack up the runs in the red-ball format, averaging just above 44 in his 84 matches to date, with 12 centuries and 23 fifties coming in his 5,190 runs in First-Class cricket.
