Team Unicorn Japanese star Seigo Asada looks a shoe in to qualify for the World Championship.

He is a sporting superstar in Asia and another big win on the PDC Asia Tour looks to have cemented his place at the Alexandra Palace.

He won in South Korea earlier in the year and his latest victory in Malaysia has seen him rewrite the darting record books.

Asada’s average of 107.60 is the highest ever on the Asian Tour. It came in his sefinal win over Lourence Ilagan and the Unicorn ace then beat Royden Lam 5-4 in a thrilling final.

Four players from the Asian Tour will secure spots at the World Championship and Seigo is in second place in the Order of Merit behind Ilagan who claimed victory in the second event in Malaysia, with a 5-1 victory over Harith Lam.

There are four more tournaments spread over two weekends in Taipei next month and then Manila in October.

But for Asada, the road to the Alexandra Palace looks to be clear!
